Python and Julia

I attended JuliaCon 2019 this week to learn more about the language. I have excllusively used Python for my research the last 6 years. What I love about Python is the ease and speed of implementing code. However, there have been many times where I wished I could make my experiments run faster. Even though there are some neat tricks that are optimized to run faster, such as list comprehensions, sometimes it’s not enough.

Julia claims to run fast and the syntax is similar to Python, so I thought to give it a try. I will make a series of posts with what I learn along the way.
